This is a representation of the design I have proposed for the new New Zealand Flag.
 
It retains the Southern Cross, incorporates the current "Sports Jack" of black background and Silver Fern, has the Tino Rangatiratanga Flag at the top bar, and the Red White and Blue of the British Union Jack to depict the two treaty Partners.
